Reading 40R Zoning By-Law

In the late 1990’s Pearson Education consolidated its operations and vacated its site in Reading known as Addison-Wesley. In mid 2007, working on behalf of the Town of Reading, Concord Square drafted language for a 40R zoning district for a portion of this area and was also involved with the development agreement negotiations with National Development. Concord Square’s project work included aiding public officials, the developer and the community through the 40R public hearing processes and drafting a set of Design Standards for the district that both the community and developer were able to agree upon. In December of 2007 the district received Town Meeting approval which rezoned the site for up to 202 housing units.
