Concord Square has provided development consulting services to Cathartes Private Investments since June, 2004 on this transit-oriented development which includes 146 units of market rate housing, and is nearing completion. Canyon Johnson Urban Fund II (Magic Johnson’s urban investment fund) is the financial partner on this development, which is Magic’s first real estate development in the Northeast.

Ted Carman led Concord Square’s extensive work on this project, including:

  • negotiating a complex lease buyout from an existing tenant with a ten-year lease;
  • preparation of marketing and financing proposals;
  • coordination between the architects and the construction entity;
  • revising the site plan to address major issues that emerged; and
  • obtaining approval of the revised site plan from the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
