Great Barrington Development Feasibility Analysis

Searles/Bryant School in Great Barrington, photo by CSP&DConcord Square recently completed an extensive report on economic feasibility for two Town-owned locations for the Town of Great Barrington, MA. The first is an eight acre former industrial and brownfields site, and the second is a 3.3 acre site containing three interconnected surplus school buildings. The analysis included a detailed market study of the immediate region (prepared by Bartram & Cochran, of Hartford, CT), and an in-depth economic analysis of specific potential uses for the site as identified by the market study, as well as analysis of the regulatory and permitting issues affecting the potential redevelopment. The Great Barrington report demonstrates the capacity of Concord Square to evaluate specific locations, assess development potential, identify development issues, determine economic feasibility, and make recommendations for public action. This report highlights and exemplifies the development and public policy understanding that Concord Square can bring to bear on different types of situations.
